"My baby flipped into position soon after starting treatment and stayed head down. I continued going to Berlin Wellness Group to open my hips and prepare for labor. I was touched and impressed by the fact that Dr. Berlin called me himself when I made my first appointment.  He asked me about my pregnancy and suggested that I come in (and made time to see me) a few days before my originally scheduled first appointment because he explained that with breech sooner is better and I was almost 34 weeks.  I ended up seeing Dr. Berlin twice that week and my baby turned by the second visit (confirmed later that day with the OB).  I continued going to Dr. Berlin for pregnancy massages and adjustments every week before my baby was born.  I also saw Jason weekly for acupuncture.  These visits kept me feeling physically and emotionally strong and positive throughout the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy.  I recommended the Berlin Wellness Group to the women in my prenatal yoga class.  Everyone who went had a fantastic experience as well!

Case: Carrie came into the office Breech at 34 weeks.

Having desired (and prepared myself for) a natural childbirth, I was shocked and quite upset when I learned that my baby was breech at 34 weeks. However, my OB Dr. Jay Goldberg referred me to Berlin Wellness Group, and said that Dr. Berlin had had some success in flipping his patients' breech babies. "Some success," at least in my case, was quite an understatement. After a 45-minute pregnancy massage, Dr. Berlin cracked my lower back, and immediately my baby flipped into place. It was almost as if she was just waiting for my body to open up so that she could move into the correct position! I continued to see Dr. Berlin for the next 5 weeks in order to loosen up my ligaments and muscles, and to keep my lower back moving correctly. At about 37 weeks I also began seeing Jason Starr, the accupuncturist, to help prepare my body for a childbirth and to work on natural pain management techniques. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl two days before my due date, without drugs, and having pushed for only 25 minutes. I firmly believe that the relative ease of my childbirth can be attributed to the fact that I was so well aligned, relaxed, and healthy going into it. I would (and have!) recommend Berlin Wellness Group to anyone.

Case: Shannon came into the office Breech at 34 weeks.

"I was referred to Dr. Berlin's office by my doula. I was 31 years old and 34 weeks pregnant with my fourth child. This baby was in a transverse breech position. I had never experienced any complications with any of my other children.   I was a nervous wreck and I wasn't really happy about the possibility of having a C-Section or having that painful ECV.  Not to mention, I was having such massive hip pain and sciatic nerve issues that I could barely walk. I wasn't able to keep up with my other children. Driving in the minivan, bending down, or getting up from the couch became tedious chores.  All of this and I was only 34 weeks!  On my 1st visit with Dr. Berlin he knew exactly what areas were out of alignment by a simple, painless exam. He thoroughly explained what was going on with the my body and how it affects the spine and circulatory system.  His humor and the analogies that he uses are hilarious and really help to alleviate that awkward doctor/patient feeling.  It's kind of like getting a comedy show rolled into your visit.  After the first visit, I felt less pressure on my hips.  After the 2nd visit, my baby was in the correct position for delivery and my hip pain was gone.  On my last visit, Doctor Berlin fixed my sciatic nerve pain.  I was almost sad when I realized that I now have nothing else to visit him for; luckily he does wellness visits and birth preparation sessions.  Thanks Dr. B!"
