VBAC
5/8/2008
Case: After an initial Cesarean delivery due to Breech positioning Monika came in early during her second pregnancy to avoid a second C-section.
“Initially I came in January 2006 when an ultrasound revealed that my daughter was in the breech position late in my pregnancy. My daughter was stubborn and didn't turn, but I did go into labor on my own, prior to my scheduled C-section. I credit the team at Berlin Wellness for that. I believe the labor helped my daughters lungs clear of fluid and helped me to be successful at breast feeding right from the start.
I returned to Berlin Wellness Group in the Fall of 2007, when I was pregnant with my son. I was determined to have a VBAC and wanted to do everything I could to get my body ready. I saw Dr. Berlin for weekly adjustments and Luetta twice a month for massage therapy. At the beginning of my third trimester, I began to experience debilitating sciatica pain. Dr. Berlin and Luetta performed treatments that targeted the source of the pain and left me pain free after a couple of appointments. Three weeks prior to my due date I began seeing Jason for acupuncture to help ensure that I wouldn't go past my due date and be faced with another C-section. I went into labor six days prior to my due date and had a successful VBAC with no epidural. I know the providers at Berlin Wellness Group were instrumental in helping me to achieve this outcome.
The Level of care at Berlin Wellness Group is extraordinary. Everyone is very well educated about the health and care of pregnant women in particular. In addition to the treatments I received, I always picked up new tips and ideas for staying healthy and comfortable while I was pregnant.”
